Dowling Catholic High School – St. Joseph Chapel

The Dowling Catholic High School St. Joseph Chapel project is a 11,600 SF spectacular addition to the front entrance of the campus. The exterior north plaza entry will provide a safe student drop-off area year-round as you approach the school and admire the 21’ cross positioned 61’ above the main entrance to the campus. The project includes a Nave to seat 350 students/faculty/staff, a large greeting area and check-in desk, restrooms, and choir balcony. The brick-faced, 30’-0” tall single story structural precast exterior is accented by curtain walls at two entrances with a large stained glass “Wall of Saints” highlighting the southwest entrance. Constructing the Chapel at the main entrance to the school and installing a new main drive to the campus, while providing safe and efficient access to the building and parking for the families, students, staff and visitors to DCHS, was the main challenge of the project.
